Importante in particolare per hard disk con sector size di 4k, tipo il WD10EARS o WD15 EARS o WD20EARS.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* Testare se le partizioni sono allineate correttamente&lt;br /&gt;
 sudo parted /dev/mydevice align-check optimal partition-number&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* in definitiva, usare&lt;br /&gt;
 parted&lt;br /&gt;
per creare le partizioni, invece di fdisk o cfdisk&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* In parted, è possibile sapere se una partizione è allineata con&lt;br /&gt;
 align-check opt #numero-partizione&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* Verifcare il block size (in caso di formato ADF da 4096)&lt;br /&gt;
 cat /sys/block/sda/queue/physical_block_size&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I dischi WD10EARS e WD10EADS hanno in relatà i settori da 4096 !!!!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* Lanciare fdisk con forzatura geometria, in modo da garantire l&amp;#039;allineamento a 4096, dosabilitare la compatibilità dos, ed usare unità di misura in settori::&lt;br /&gt;
sudo  fdisk -H 224 -S 56 -u -c /dev/sdb&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* Far partire con modo dos disativato e unità di misura in settori:&lt;br /&gt;
 sudo fdisk -u -c /dev/sda&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* Scegliere il settore iniziale come 64&lt;br /&gt;
sudo fdisk /dev/sda&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Command (m for help): x&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Expert command (m for help): b&lt;br /&gt;
Partition number (1-4): 1&lt;br /&gt;
New beginning of data (63-62926604, default 63): 64&lt;br /&gt;
