Il passo importante per abilitare l'autenticazione via password per root (e quindi per phpmyadmin) è:
sudo mysql -u root
UPDATE mysql.user SET plugin = 'mysql_native_password' WHERE User = 'root'; FLUSH PRIVILEGES; QUIT;
- Test:
mysql -u root -p
Enter password: Welcome to the MariaDB monitor. Commands end with ; or \g. Your MariaDB connection id is 67 Server version: 10.3.13-MariaDB-1 Debian buildd-unstable Copyright (c) 2000, 2018, Oracle, MariaDB Corporation Ab and others.
