Attivare la sincronizzazione dell'orario in Windows 2000 Server

Appena installato Windows 2000 Server, uno dei primi messaggi di errore in eventlog è:

EventID:     62
Source:      w32time
Description: This Machine is a PDC of the domain at the root of the forest. 
             Configure to sync from External time source using the net command,
             'net time /setsntp:<server name>'. 

Occorre configurare il servizio di aggiornamento dell'orario di sistema, usando un server NTP esterno.

• Impostare il server ntp da utilizzare (assicurarsi di poter accedere alla porta udp 123 verso questo indirizzo):

net time /setsntp:"time.ien.it"

• Fermare il servizio

net stop w32time

• Effettuare una sincronizzazione manuale:

w32tm -once

Verificare che la sincronizzazione abbia successo:

Description: Time service corrected the clock error by 238 seconds 

Riavviare il servizio:

net start w32time
