Netgear GT834GTIT si blocca e non permette di accedere ad intenet

Dopo alcune ore di funzionamento il dispositivo non permette più l'accesso ad internet. mentre la lan e la wireless funzionano correttamente.

Nonostante si cerchi di fare traffico verso l'esterno, la spia della porta WAN rimane fissa.

Soluzione:


In the WAN settings I have changed the MTU value from 1500 to 1492.


This seams to be where the problem lies. After my line had been up for a week I changed this value back to 1500 to see if it made a difference.

After a day, during peak net usage time (i.e. peak ISP usage) the modem started to disconnect and reconnect.

The ADSL re-connecting occurred for a couple of days. To prove my theory out I set the MTU value back to 1492 and have had no problems since.
