Visualizzare i dettagli di un certificato SSL

• Tipicamente basta fare

openssl \
    x509 \
   -text \
   -noout \
   -in nomecertificato.pem

• Se si ottiene un errore del tipo:

unable to load certificate
139976823568032:error:0906D06C:PEM routines:PEM_read_bio:no start line:pem_lib.c:703:Expecting: TRUSTED CERTIFICATE

è perchè il formato del certificato potrebbe essere in formato DER. Usare quindi:

openssl \
    x509 \
    --inform der \
   -in nomecertificato.cer \
   -text \
   -noout
